A Complete Unknown

The whole “cut the sound” shenanigans of the third act almost made me turn on the whole film, but the first 1.5 hours are so good & the musical moments so authentic that I’ll forgive it.

I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how “A Complete Unknown” falls into the same trappings and beats of many other music biopics, but I honestly don’t really see that at all. It honestly doesn’t even feel like a movie in stretches, which is why it works so well.
