Pretty fun to see a stylish indie film that happens to also be a sports movie. Far too often sports movies are big spectacles & aren’t stripped down this much.
I wish the story itself was a bit more compelling, but between the vibe, the sweeping vistas, the sound design, and ski racing scenes, there is more than enough to maintain your attention. For lack of a better phrase, Ritchie simply directs the hell out of it. Feels like a small art house movie inside the wrapper of a sports movie to draw people in.
