Aaron's Thoughts
Man I loved this. Tense, gnarly, and jam packed with real ideas. Will never forget seeing this in a nearly sold out theater late on a Friday night.
The kind of movie that reminds you that reboots aren’t inherently bad, most of them lack the artistic vision that this one has. It uses the original IP in brilliant ways while also injecting it with the anxiety and problems with our modern society.
Wicked smart commentary on the attention economy, losing our humanity through screens, and the algorithm’s grip on society. Goldhaber cements himself as one of the most exciting young directors & Barbie Ferreira as someone we will see on the big screen for years to come.
