Gladiator II

Denzel just completely steals the show here. Which is so fun when he’s on screen, but when he’s not (or is running circles around Mescal), it’s not so ideal.

Still think that Mescal has the stuff to be a legend on the screen, but it’s a great reminder that there is a huge difference between being a great actor and a great movie star.

Really fun movie in pockets, but the over reliance on special effects & CGI just completely took me out of it every single time. Not to mention that the similarities in structure to the first film do it no favors.
