What do you know! A streaming comedy that is actually half way decent! Who would have thought that was possible??
I’m always game for Jake Johnson, but he and Mary Steenburgen were so great together it made me smile. I think it’s pretty lame that the film teases us with that plot but doesn’t have the guts to go the distance on it. Had the film leaned more into their relationship, this would have been genuinely great.
One of the better straight to streaming movies this year!
