Aaron's Thoughts
I LOVED everything about the first hour. Loved the set up. Loved the chemistry. Loved the silliness (You Belong With Me Music video recreation, Anya playing chess, Miles playing the drums, etc).
Then once we actually venture into the Gorge, it just becomes another poor looking action movie with no forward momentum. By the time they get out, the goodwill built up in the first hour is almost completely squandered.
If you would just cut out the 40 minutes spent in the Gorge and stitch together the two ends, it would have been a genuinely great movie.
Not going to punish it as much as I should for those 40 minutes with my rating though, the first hour is what will live on in my mind!
