Aaron's Thoughts
Doesn’t always work, but the playful tone makes it incredibly watchable for most of the film. Think Kingsman mixed with Inglorious Basterds. Although it loses steam as it comes down the home stretch and overstays it’s welcome, there is enough good here to make it enjoyable.
Helps when it’s loosely based on a pretty important historical event that you had never heard of. Have to wonder that it’s nowhere near as enjoyable if you were aware of the whole operation. It’s not going to knock your socks off or doesn’t reinvent the medium in any revolutionary way, but watching muscle guys kill Nazis for two hours isn’t the worst way to spend your time.
