A few weeks ago at NYFF, I was walking towards the restroom when I noticed Jonah Hauer-King walking next to me. I told him how much I enjoyed this film & how it was one of the year’s best.
He happened to also be walking to the restroom & we continued chatting about the film. He seemed genuinely surprised that I had even seen it. Asking how I heard about it, what theater I saw it in, and If I had told anyone else about the film.
Since at this point we were both in the restroom, I was trying to wrap up the conversation so that I didn’t bother him. But we were the only ones in the restroom, so he just kept peppering me with questions. We ended up talking until the moment we walked out of the restroom and parted ways. Couldn’t have been a nicer guy!
Anyways, he mentioned that they agreed to a deal with Netflix recently & that the film should be on the platform soon. I really hope that gives more people the chance to see this delightful film!!
