Aaron's Thoughts
Baumbach is one of the few living filmmakers that could get away with making something this saccharine. Nine out of ten times it would have been too much for me, yet he finds a way to pull it off. Feels like this will be his most accessible to the average Netflix viewer.
During the opening scene I thought “Is this going to be the greatest movie ever” at least three times. Loved the first & third acts but the second act on the train really set the whole movie back for me.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss pre-Netflix Baumbach.
